John Poncy brings extensive leadership experience to the helm at Venali. He commenced his business experience with over 12 years of telecom experience serving as a department head at such Fortune 500 companies as Nortel, Unisys, Telcordia and Avaya. John has since moved on to serving as Chief Executive Officer of numerous companies, including a private military company serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and now Venali. Prior to his time in the business world, John spent nine years as an Infantry officer and Airborne Ranger in the United States Army, where he commanded the Tomb of the Unknowns, a light infantry company, and a special operations company. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. John and his wife Kathy have three children and live in the Village of Palmetto Bay.
